Our Annual Show for 2017 was held on 3rd September. Entries were of a  very high standard, especially in the Floral Classes.  The following Cups/Certificates were awarded:

Helen Burton won the Floral Cup, The Garden Produce Cup, The Percival Warr Cup (best collection of veg), Best in Show Cup (for her vegetable basket) and the Banksian Medal (most points gained in Floral and Fruit & Veg classes). The Rose Bowl (for flower arranging) went to by Liz Hudson, the Gardener’s Certificate of Merit for Floral Art was jointly won by Debbie Chandler and Zelda Shapter, the Fred Payne Memorial Cup for best onions went to Keith Bull.  The Sue Papworth Cup for preserves to Sanchia Redston, the Home Produce Cup to Trish Fox, the Craftwork Cup jointly to Jennie Ingham and Lynne Green and the Photography Cup to Rob Ralphs.

In the Children’s sections, the Christine Payne Cup (most points in the section)  was won by Alexi Baker-Stroud, with wooden cups going to Elana Burton, Alexi Baker-Stroud and Ryan Baker-Stoud.

Congratulations to all of those above and to all who won class prizes. We had a good amount of entrants and entries this year, except in the photographic section.  So a big thanks to all those who entered, please do so again next year….and encourage your friends.  Another vote of thanks to all those who helped on the day and/or donated cakes for sale, without you all it would not have been possible.
