Our programme for 2020 includes the following entertaining speakers and activities – all taking place on the 2nd Thursday of the month in the Village Hall
Covid 19 disruption. Our 2020 program was suspended March – May due to coronavirus restrictions. From June we have adapted the programmme as the restrictions have allowed.
9th Jan. Auction of Unwanted gifts.
Members to bring any unwanted gifts to be auctioned for WI funds. Plus an entertaining production by the Drama Group.
13th Feb . Charles Rennie MacIntosh.
John Shakespeare will be telling us all about this amazing architect / designer. Later in the year a visit will be organised to 78 Derngate, Northampton, the only house in England designed by MacIntosh.
12th March . Work of the Samaritans.
An insight into the work of this charity that helps so many in need of help and support as told by Adrian Perkins.
9th April. Decluttering our ‘organised’ chaos. Postponed until Jan 2021 when it will be held via Zoom. Judith Morris will give hints and tips to help members with this near impossible task.
April meeting cancelled
14th May. Resolutions & Drama Group performance. Cancelled
There will also be a bring and buy stall.
11th June. A social meeting via Zoom
9th July. Shipwrecks. Postponed until November 2021
A much awaited evening when Georgina Hale will be telling us what it was like to be shipwrecked in Antarctica.
In its place a socially distanced trail around Badby for small groups of members will be arranged.
13th Aug. The Women’s Land Army during the First World War. Postponed until August 2021. Helen Frost will be explaining how these amazing women kept us going through such a traumatic time.
A Strawberries and cream event with a local place names quiz will be held on the Village Green
10th Sept. Beauty Evening. Postponed until September 2021
Something we are all interested in, Georgia Cox will be giving a demonstration and describing the products available to purchase.
A socially distanced meeting will be held in the Village Hall where members will make a pennant banner of their recollections of lockdown.
8th Oct. AGM. Held via Zoom
12th Nov. Xmas decorations (via Zoom)
Ideas for decorating a bottle and the art of giftwrapping bottles. The new Vicar of Knightley Parishes , Malcolm Ingham, will give a short introduction to himself.

A fun evening playing Bingo.
