Remembrance in Badby –

Poppies for the British Royal Legion Poppy Appeal will be available for donations at The Maltsters Inn and The Little Shop. There will be no door-to-door collection this year because of the COVID-19 precautions.

The Knitwits Group of the WI have been busy knitting to decorate the seat on The Green with poppies in remembrance of those lost in war and yellow flowers to remember those who have died because of COVID-19 this year.

On Remembrance Sunday (November 8) at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Susan Rose will lead the usual family-friendly Remembrance service when a candle for each of the Badby soldiers who died in the two world wars will be lit.  Please do come along – you will be sure of a warm welcome.  CANCELLED see post above

The half-muffled bells will herald the service with only three having ropes far enough apart to meet pandemic social distancing precautions.  CANCELLED
