Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day takes place on Saturday 27 June and is an opportunity for the nation to show its support for the UK’s serving and retired military community.  Daventry District Council will be flying the Armed Forces Day flag from Monday (22 June) for the week.

We are helping to promote the national #SaluteOurForces campaign and need your salutes. It is a simple way for anyone to pay tribute to the British Armed Forces community for their hard work, dedication and efforts to keep us safe in the UK and across the globe.

To join in, simply send a photo or video of yourself, your friends and family or colleagues saluting, to me by Wednesday, 24 June.  I will then collate and submit the photos, which have a chance of being used on the official Armed Forces Day website and social media channels.

You can also submit your entry direct via the following methods:

Tweet @ArmedForcesDay using #SaluteOurForces
Comment on one of their Facebook posts
Or email @armedforcesdayuk@gmail.com
