Free digital skills courses on offer in Daventry district

Free digital marketing and advertising courses are being offered in Daventry District thanks to the Google Digital Garage.

The Digital Garage aims to offer people and businesses free advice and coaching on their digital skills to help them find a job, or grow in their business, career or confidence.

It is coming to the Saxon Suite in Daventry Leisure Centre on Tuesday 1 October from 6pm to 9.45pm, when it will be offering three courses:

  • Digital Marketing Strategy: an introduction to the main digital marketing channels and how to use them to build strategy
  • Get started with Digital Advertising: Get started with social, search and display advertising
  • Get started with Digital Marketing: Discover how your career or business could benefit from digital marketing.

The Google Digital Garage is one of Google’s flagship investment programmes in the UK, offering people the chance to learn free digital skills through a range of courses.

Since its launch in 2015, more than 300,000 people have benefitted from Google’s free face-to-face training on digital know-how across 250 locations in the UK.

The courses offer up-to-date, real-world, skills and are approved by industry experts, top entrepreneurs and some of the world’s leading employers.
