Five gardens were open in the afternoon of Sunday, May 19 from 2 – 6pm in Badby. Many people came along to enjoy the gardens.
The gardens were at Trifidia, Shakespeares Cottage, Southview Cottage, The Old House and for the first time Chapel House. Click on the house name for full details.
Admission to all gardens £5, free for children. All proceeds from visiting the gardens go to NGS which is the most significant funder of nursing charities in the country, supporting The Queen’s Nursing Institute, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Carers Trust, Hospice UK, Perennial, Parkinson’s UK and other guest charities.
Teas and delicious home-made cakes were provided in nearby St Mary’s Church, and the £826 resulting proceeds will go to church funds.
The 14 entries for the Badby Bee Flower Pot Challenge entered at the Plant Sale on Sunday May 11, were on show on the church window ledges.
