I have been working on the project for St Mary’s Church, Badby PCC over the last 8 years to carry out repairs to the suspect flooring under the pews, provide a stepless entrance for everyone and improve the layout, heating and external drainage. More details can be found on the link below. The £3,382 raised at Badby Fayre 2016 went to this project but we still need a lot more money for it.
We actually received the Faculty giving permission to get on with it on October 3 after years of struggling with the DAC, Historic England and the Diocesan Chancellor.
One of the many grants that we are seeking for the project to hopefully start and complete in 2017 is from the AVIVA Community Fund, but this needs expressions of support from our community if we are to get a grant in the range £10,000 – £25,000.
Unfortunately we only received just over 400 votes and have been eliminated from the final round!
Many thanks to those who voted!
Any other ideas?
