Lots of apples left lying on our front lawn have been attracting up to a dozen blackbirds daily. On colder days we have also had a few fieldfares making the most of the extra food.
We’ve generally seen more birds in the garden and since Christmas, we have, at last, had greenfinches coming to the feeders again. A flock of fifty plus pied wagtails feeding in one of the fields on the edge of the village was an unusual sighting for me. RP
