Badby bird notes for May –

Migrant birds have all arrived now with swifts appearing over the village early in May. We’ve had lots of young birds visiting our garden including blue tit, great tit, coal tit (two adults and two young together), robin, goldfinch, dunnock and even a juvenile green woodpecker with its distinctive spotty plumage.

Buzzards are very obvious at the moment, wheeling and circling over the village and fields and we recently saw three red kites flying together above Badby woods.  RP
