Japanese Knotweed update …..

The Japanese Knotweed that sprouted behind the Village Hall was treated some weeks ago by specialist contractors, and is being left for a few weeks to ensure the treatment reaches all the deep-seated roots. The area remains roped off from public access, but over the next few weeks the contractors will return to finish the job, and remove all traces. Watch this space to see what the Village Hall committee plans to do in the coming months to enhance the general appearance of this area…..

  1. We also have had a small yet costly invasion of knotweed here at the hollies : (Check your gardens!

    See the Enviroment Agency web for all details on JK. http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/wildlife/130079.aspx If you think you have it anywhere on or near your property, you need to take the appropriate action advised by the Environment Agency.
